Timothy R. Couture concentrates his practice in construction and product liability and has practiced civil litigation for more than fifteen years. His work over that period of time has focused on construction law and product liability defense, where he has successfully represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and product manufacturers in cases involving extensive property damage, serious injury and death. He has defended clients in a wide range of other legal contexts, including toxic torts, transportation law, insurance law, premises liability and professional liability.
Mr. Couture has served as both first-chair and second-chair counsel in numerous jury trials in various jurisdictions in Illinois, including Cook, DuPage and McHenry Counties. He has served as an arbitrator, and has extensive experience representing parties at arbitration. Mr. Couture is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
