Gregory D. Conforti is co-chair of Johnson & Bell's Transportation group. He concentrates his practice in general negligence, as well as transportation and retail litigation. Mr. Conforti supports an active civil trial practice and enjoys an exceptional record of predominately not-guilty verdicts. He has successfully tried cases to verdict in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County as well as the surrounding municipal districts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. As a result of his accomplishments, Mr. Conforti has received numerous awards, including being named as one of the 40 Attorneys Under 40 in Illinois to Watch by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company in 2003. His success as a trial attorney has also been recognized by his peers who have awarded him with an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Conforti is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Justinian Society of Lawyers. He serves on the Steering committee for the American Law Firm Association's (ALFA) Transportation Practice Group and served as the Chair for the Transportation Practice Group in 2007-2008. He also served as the 2006 ALFA Transportation Group Program Chair for the seminar held in Las Vegas, Nevada and is currently serving as Chair Emeritus for ALFA in 2008-2009. Mr. Conforti is also frequently requested as a lecturer and has given presentations across the country.
